CAMPING AT WOWO
CAMPING AT WOWO CAMPSITE
Bring your own tent for a nearly back to basic classic family camping experience in the great outdoors of the Sussex countryside. Each of our grass pitches (no electric hook up) comes with a fire pit for you to enjoy a campfire and benches to sit on too. Attend some family workshops together or send the kids off to the workshops while you go to the onsite spa! We’ve got everything covered here at Wowo to make your stay fun, easy and relaxing.
Come for a family adventure with the kids and enjoy being surrounded by nature at your own campfire or groups of families can camp around the same fire pit to enjoy a holiday together. Each family books and pays for themselves online and then references their lead booker/ group name in the comments sections to be connected. If you are a large group of families over 8 please visit our group page to book in a different way.
There are five different camping fields to choose from, with each field having toilets and a drinking water point. When you arrive, you check in at reception and our friendly reception staff then advise you about your options of locations of where you can camp for that specific date. You cannot reserve a field/ pitch ahead of your trip, as we organise this with the camp plan per week.
After checking in you can drive to your pitch to unload, then all cars are parked back at the main car park until the day you check out, when you can drive onsite to pack up.
FYI: On Saturdays (and Sundays on bank holidays), we have a car free campsite. So in case you had to leave early or you arrived a day late on the Saturday, then you would not be allowed to drive onsite. Instead you can use the provided wheelbarrows to shift your camping gear either to your pitch or back to the car park.
Don’t have a tent, don’t worry, enquire with us about a pop up bell tent. We can set the tent up ready for your arrival with mattresses and sheets all ready to go.
We organise a program with entertainment and workshops aimed at families with primary school aged children and younger for you to enjoy. Have a look at the calendar for what’s on through the camping season. We advise you to book any workshops you want to attend at the same time as booking your camping or at least several months in advance of your trip as they do tend to get fully booked.
Evening entertainment is free to all guests during your stay with us, enjoy a sing and dance with one of the amazing musicians, hear a story or two and be wowed by a fire show! Hot tip: We have free evening entertainment every single night of the week during May half term and summer holidays.
Wowo has been open for camping since 2005, and each year we aim to add to or improve the site in one way or another, so each time you come back you might notice the upgrades, but the general feel of the site has always remained the same.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
POP UP BELL TENTS
Pop up unfurnished bell tents are not a glamping option. This option provides convenience for you to arrive to a tent set up for you where you can add your own camping equipment.
The bell tent comes with a fixed location camping lamp, side table and one double mattress with a sheet only and single beds again with sheets only. Please bring your own duvet/sleeping bag and pillows.
You will need to bring your cooking equipment including camping stove, pots, kettle, and all utensils and crockery. You can also view the calendar to see which food options we have onsite for your stay if you don’t want to cook one meal. We have a small shop onsite for treats and some essentials.
The pop up bell tent is on a camping grass pitch, there is no electric hook up on the pitch. We have charging lockers that you can rent to charge devices. The pop up bell tent will either be placed with your group or on a suitable pitch for your booking.
You can rent a pop up bell tent either from Wowo directly, or if we have sold out from one of our approved companies we work with. Please get in touch if you want to check if we have one available for your stay.

CAMPSITE CULTURE WHEN STAYING AT WOWO
1. We reserve the right of admission. When booking at Wowo, you are either selecting a specific glamping option pitch or a camping pitch. Camping pitches are assigned on check in day in accordance with the camp plan, you do not pre book a pitch in a certain field.
2. In our experience lack of respect for fellow campers is almost always associated with the mismanagement of alcohol. If heavy consumption is a part of your camping ideal – please do not book at Wowo.
3. 10.30pm onwards all children/youths to be back at their pitch.
4. Guest camping and glamping do so at their own risk, including in all weathers. Camping and glamping pitches are in woodland areas. No refund is due in adverse weather.
5. We have extensive areas on the farm specified for dog walking. In all other areas dogs
must be kept on leads. Each dog needs to be able to meet reception staff and be seen to be friendly. We reserve the right to ask your dog to leave if it shows anti-social behaviour.
6. We welcome and honour unplugged or acoustic musicians round the campfire. All instruments and noise to stop by 11pm latest. No bongos or drums. No Car stereos / stereos or radio’s. Strictly no open air, plugged in amplified music.
7. Love the farm – leave no trace. Please take all rubbish to the bin and recycling area and leave nothing on your pitch. Keep on our land, there is no access to our neighbours land.
8. Logs can be bought from reception or the ‘log man’ please do not take wood from the woodland or surrounding land of the campsite, we are all stewards of the earth’s ecosystem. Wheelbarrows are provided for moving firewood and belongings, all guests use these at their own risk.
9. We do not allow fireworks, lanterns, balloons (water and air), bubbles in camping areas, knives (unless supervised by an adult).
10. We do not accept unsupervised youths below the age of 21. We also do not allow Stag and Hen parties or weddings/ receptions.

12. We provide wooden furniture and tree swings around the campsite, all guests use these at their own risk.
13. Campers and glampers are responsible for providing their own first aid. We do not hold a first aid box.
14. Driving is restricted on site to 5mph at all times. There is no driving after dark. We ask you to minimise the use of your vehicle only to either leave or return to the pitch. No driving onto the campsite on Saturdays and Bank holiday Sundays.
