CLARABELLA THE FAMILY WAGON
CLARABELLA THE FAMLIY WAGON
We are delighted to have the charming Clarabella Pantechnicon, formerly a horse drawn furniture removal van that shunted it’s way round Britain on flat-bed train carriages in service of families setting-up homes far and wide. We are reliably informed it’s probably the only one left in the world! It has been lovingly restored by Chris Beale and family.
The wagon sleeps 2 adults and 2/3 children. The top double bed can sleep two adults or 2-3 children depending on size. The kids like to climb up top leaving the adults plenty of room in the spacious bottom bunk.
The double bed (top bunk) is fully made with linen sheets/duvet/pillows. The single beds have sheets only, please bring your own bedding duvets/sleeping bags/pillows for children. There is a small wood stove inside for those days when keeping cosy inside is best.
The kitchen is kitted out for all your needs with a cooker, sink, pots, pans and crocs. All you have to think about is food and drink! Have a look at what’s available in our licenced campsite shop where you can find some home grown goodies and lots of local produce.
For outside entertaining you will find a large banquet table plus benches to cosy around the firepit and a metal grill trivet to aid your culinary experiments at campfire cooking!
Situated in the corner of Lower Brook with trees for shade in the summer with Alice Yurt, Gypsy Wagon and Lower Brook Bell Tent as close neighbours for friends who would also like to glamp. Clarabella has the added advantage of being just a short trip to the main facilities, family wet room, toilets/showers and reception/shop.
Check in time is 2pm and check out time in 11am.
