MUSIC AT WOWO
music at wowo
We’ve brought live music into our list of ingredients that we think help create those magic moments for our campers. Put music along with a good fire, good food and good company and we have a recipe to create a memorable experience!
Every Saturday in our summer season from 6pm we serve delicious veggie soup for all campers, in our village area in Lower Moat field. We then play music aimed for the children and for them to get involved. Around 8pm we come back together for some family music fun.
Here at Wowo, we look after our musicians and with many regulars, who treat us as a Sussex stop over, whilst on tour, or a home away from home to get out of the big city. The TeePee is a magical acoustic venue. This year we have Al Start from Go Kid Music based in Brighton hosting and performing with guests most of the season.
Check out the Go Kid Music website to find out more about Al and what she does. We love the family membership club!

SONG WRITING & MUSIC JAM WORKSHOP WITH AL START
Join our resident musician and children’s songwriter Al Start for a creative hour of simple music improvisation and songwriting. Learn how easy it is to make up little songs and write your own song as a group or family! Then add instruments and play as a band. You can even showcase your song at the Children’s Music Session at 6.30pm! If you play an instrument, bring it along – but no musical experience needed.
Al has been writing and performing songs for children for over 10 years and before that she toured extensively as a grown-up singer-songwriter! She set up Go Kid Music as part of her mission to get children singing, signing and learning creatively. She leads singing assemblies and workshops in primary schools, has a series of fantastic children’s albums and songbooks and runs music events like gigs for kids and musical puppet shows.
