Nestled in our Lower Brook field by the stream, listen to the babbling stream while watching the stars above your bed! Alice in Wonderland is an 18ft yurt that provides a perfect all year round getaway, complete with fleece lining for a cosy winter or cool summer stay.
Alice Yurt sleeps 5 with one double bed, one double futon/sofa and one single bed. The double bed is fully made with linen sheets/duvet/pillows.
LITTLE OWL YURT
This beautifully handmade 18 ft Yurt was lovingly crafted by Chris and Carleen Birch from Yurtshop in Battle. Tucked away up-stream in Tipi Trail woodland, Little Owl offers a cosy retreat. The whole yurt has a wool felt lining, making this the perfect all year round getaway, cosy in winter and cool in summer.
Little Owl sleeps 5, with one double divan bed, a double futon a single futon. The main double bed is complete with linen, pillows and duvets.
WOODLAND YURT
Woodland yurt is our largest yurt, set in our secluded Tipi Trail woodland site. Made by Rod and his team down in Devon, check their website out for more info. This lovely yurt with a built-in glass window, novel for a yurt, adding pretty woodland views to this glamping experience.
Lovingly decorated by our in-house artist Rachel, low tables and cushions give a bedouin feel. The felt liner keeps you cool in summer and extra warm in winter.
HOBBIT YURT
Hobbit Yurt is the second to have been made for us Chris and Carleen at Yurtshop in Battle. Within it’s 14ft diameter is a double bed and two single fold out futon mattresses, which double as low seats, making this yurt a cosy home for a family of four with younger children, or a perfect nest for two.
Its felt-lined canvas in combination with a gorgeous glass fronted wood burning stove make this a toasty option even on the coldest of winter nights!
SHEPHERDS HUTS
CLARABELLA THE FAMILY WAGON
We are delighted to have the charming Clarabella Pantechnicon, formerly a horse drawn furniture removal van that shunted it’s way round Britain on flat-bed train carriages in service of families setting-up homes far and wide. We are reliably informed it’s probably the only one left in the world! It has been lovingly restored by Chris Beale and family.
The wagon sleeps 2 adults and 2/3 children. The top double bed can sleep two adults or 2-3 children depending on size.
STEPPING STONES SHEPHERDS HUT
Stepping Stones, Wowo’s first Shepherds hut, based on the 19th Century original design, skillfully crafted by local craftsman/carpenter Mark Whittaker and more recently re-vamped to accommodate 2 extra small guests by another fine carpenter, Pete Sequoia.
This super cosy retreat is equally ideal for a romantic getaway (beware in summer months when campsite has a high density of children!) or for a short stay with younger children.
BLUEBELL SHEPHERDS HUT
The Hut has a fresh Scandinavian feel, with a kitchen-dining area, a fun 3 tier bunk for the little ones (or any adult under 6ft) and a comfy double futon bed sofa. Spend your evening warming your toes by the cosy wood burner.
The Hut has an ensuite flush loo. For showers, guests can use gas shower in the wooden loo block found in adjacent field, Upper Moat or showers back at reception. Remember to bring your towel! The Hut sleeps 2 adults and 3 children or 5 adults comfortably with height restrictions in the bunks.
BROOKSIDE SHEPHERDS HUT
Welcome to the Brookside Shepherds Hut, younger twin to Bluebell Hut.
For showers guests can use gas shower in the wooden loo block found in adjacent field Upper Moat or showers back at reception. Remember to bring your towel!
GYPSY WAGON
This gorgeous little beauty was lovingly preserved, horse drawn still traveling around the south of England in 2012, under the capable guidance of Lisa Dear. The Gypsy Wagon adds a touch of old fashioned glamping style and offers endless photo opportunities!
Nestled inside, is a double pull-out futon bed/sofa with a single child’s bunk bed tucked underneath. The small wood stove is bejewelled with all the vintage crocs, cutlery, pots and pans you will need, keeping the wagons authentic feel.
GEODOMES
CHERRY TREE GEODOME
Nestled in Tipi Trail on pitch 2 by the stream, listen to the babbling stream while watching the stars above your bed through the stargazer. Cherry Tree is a massive 7 meter Geodome providing a perfect all year round getaway, complete with insulation for a cosy winter or cool summer stay.
The dome sleeps 6 with one double bed, one double sofa and one bunk bed. The double bed will be fully made with linen sheets/ duvet/ pillows. The additional beds have sheets only, ready for your own pillows, duvet or sleeping bag.
GRASSY GEODOMES
In Grassy Field you will find 4 Geodomes along the row of Glamping pitches. Each one has its own large fenced in square including outdoor fire pit and space for a friend’s tent. Lay in bed while watching the stars above your dome through the large stargazer.
These Geodomes provide a perfect all year round getaway, complete with insulation for a cosy winter or cool summer stay. The dome has a ginormous clear window at the front, with curtains for privacy, and also two triangle windows at the back, plus the stargazer at the top.
LOTUS BELL TENTS
GRASSY BELL TENTS
Here are our latest additions of unique lotus flower-shaped bell tents, situated in Grassy field. They are very spacious inside and are on very generous pitches with everything you need. They sleep 2 adults and 3 children
These bell tents are an ideal way for groups where one to four families would like to glamp but be in the same field as friends who have their own tents (but not directly next to as glamping wouldn’t be glamping without a little privacy!)
LM & LB BELL TENTS
Welcome to our huge 6 meter stargazer lotus bell tents. They are extremely spacious inside and have a clear roof so you can see out to the stars. Situated in different fields, Lower Brook and Lower Moat. Lower Brook Lotus is perfect for a family with perhaps one tent joining them in the quieter of the two fields.
Very well furnished with a wooden floor and wooden beds to protect you from a full-on camping experience and add some welcome luxury. Kitted-out with 1 double divan bed and three singles.
